At the HealthWell Foundation, we believe no one should have to choose between their health and financial stability. Since 2003, we have provided a crucial safety net for underinsured Americans, ensuring they can access the care they need.
What is the HealthWell Foundation?
For more than 20 years, HealthWell has served as a financial lifeline for over 1 million patients, offering financial assistance to ease the cost of care. To date, we have awarded over $4.8 billion in assistance through more than 1.8 million grants, helping patients focus on their health instead of their medical bills. When health insurance is not enough, HealthWell fills the gap by assisting with:
- Prescription Drug Copays – Reducing out-of-pocket costs for essential medications.
- Health Insurance Premiums – Helping patients maintain coverage for necessary treatment.
- Pediatric Treatment Costs, Behavioral Health Services, Dedicated Caregiver Funds, Vitamins and Supplements and Travel Costs – Supporting patients beyond traditional copay and premium assistance.
How Can HealthWell Provide Financial Relief to Patients with Chronic Diseases?
Timely access to treatment is essential for those living with chronic and life-altering illnesses. HealthWell provides financial relief for patients facing high out-of-pocket costs associated with conditions such as autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurological conditions. All of our funds are available to Medicare patients, with some specifically tailored to support them, ensuring older adults and individuals with disabilities can afford their care. In addition to providing support for medications, HealthWell has a fund to help cancer patients with the costs of home care services and durable medical equipment, and one to support behavioral health services for oncology caregivers.
