National Health Care Rights Day
March 22 is National Health Care Rights Day! Triage Cancer nominated this day to the Registrar at National Day Calendar, which officially declared National Health Care Rights Day to be celebrated each year. National Health Care Rights Day refers to laws that provide access to necessary care, insurance coverage, workplace accommodations, consumer rights, essential benefits, and other protections. Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of understanding and protecting your health care rights, especially for individuals facing chronic or serious medical conditions.
Receiving a chronic or serious medical diagnosis can feel overwhelming and uncertain.
How do you juggle a treatment plan, workplace changes, health insurance, prescriptions, and shifts in your daily routine and relationships? Having clear, accessible information is essential to navigating this journey with confidence.
But health care rights matter for everyone—not just those facing a diagnosis. How do you choose the right health insurance plan? How do you start planning for the future? What rights do you have when it comes to preventative care? Understanding your health care rights empowers you to make informed decisions and take control of your well-being.
